Progress

Well, so far so good and I'm not racked by my typical afternoon sugar induced cravings. Afternoons are a bad time for me anyway - I get bored at work and sleepy from my interrupted sleep patterns (parents of small children out there - you know what I'm talking about) and some chocolate candy bar(s) are a quick fix. Although I rarely feel better afterwards - mainly guilty.

I would be lying if I didn't say that a trip over to the Maverick Store hadn't crossed my mind but I was able to avoid that temptation to head in there and purchase anything. All I can tell you is thank god for sugar free gum.

A little side effect from a new regiment in drinking more water: needing a restroom near by. Today I feel that I've got a hamster bladder.

  3. Thanks Dan! I appreciate the feedback and you're a particular inspiration to me for all of the awesome work you've done over the last year. You've shown me that a person can make a choice, stick with it and enjoy the results!

    Congrats on getting hitched, BTW!

  4. Ryan-

Good luck, I found switching to water instead of Soda made a huge difference. Also I am a all day snacker otherwise I have issues, but carrots and fruit make a great snack for the day. It’s the quality of food that makes a difference. When the weather is good I walk around the block at work. I will be following along.

  5. Thanks Justin - I'm actually amazed and how much "crap" I would eat just for eating's sake. No focus on quality. You're right, raising the bar and eating "well" isn't just foods that are good for you, but are actually satisfying to eat.
